Smart Home Automation in Sugar Land, TX
If you’re looking for smart home automation in Sugar Land, you’re probably talking to companies that send a salesperson first and a technician later. I don’t work that way. I’m Robert — I run SOL Automation, and I do the walkthrough, the design, the install, and the programming myself. Same person start to finish, so nothing gets lost in a handoff.
What I do in Sugar Land homes
Lighting control — I’m a Lutron Pro (LP 832). Keypads that replace the wall of switches, scenes that actually get used, and dimming that doesn’t buzz.
Motorized shades — Lutron, Hunter Douglas PowerView, and Somfy. Sugar Land’s west-facing rooms take a beating in the afternoon; shades on a schedule fix that quietly.
Whole-home audio — Sonos and architectural in-ceiling speakers, room by room, with the volume and sources laid out so anyone in the house can run it.
Home theater and media rooms — seating, screen, and sound designed together instead of bought separately.
WiFi and networking — this is the one people underestimate. Most “my smart home is unreliable” calls I take are really network calls. I install business-grade Ubiquiti gear so coverage reaches the back patio and the upstairs bonus room.
Whole-house control — I install and program Control4 and Savant systems, and I work with Apple HomeKit, Alexa, and Google Home when that’s the better fit.
New build, remodel, or a house that’s already finished
If you’re building in Riverstone, Telfair, Sienna, or anywhere else in Sugar Land, the cheapest time to wire a house is before the drywall goes up — one walkthrough with your builder saves a lot of money later. If your house is already finished, that’s fine too. A lot of what I install is wireless or retrofit-friendly, and I’ll tell you honestly which parts are worth opening a wall for and which aren’t.
How it works
Free in-home consultation — I come out, look at the house, and listen to what’s actually bothering you.
A clear plan and an exact quote — no surprises, and no pressure to buy the biggest version of everything.
Installation — clean work, hidden wiring, and I’m the one doing it.
Programming and a real walkthrough — I don’t leave until you and your family know how to use the system.
After the install
Every system I put in can be backed by Smart Home Support 247, our dedicated support company — smarthomesupport247.net. And you can always call me directly at (832) 799-1940.
